Brace yourself: there’s a “big” Star Wars game announcement coming — at least according to leaker Kurakasis, who swears the title “ends with The Old Republic.” Truly shocking, since everyone immediately jumped straight to “oh, so KOTOR remake stuff again?”
Kurakasis insists it’s unrelated to Zero Company or Eclipse — the two games that currently exist as concept art and corporate LinkedIn posts. His wide-eyed emoji added the usual level of investigative rigor.
Fans are already spiraling into speculation, hoping for a brand-new single-player Old Republic game, while Lucasfilm Games continues its tradition of saying absolutely nothing. Maybe The Game Awards will reveal something more substantial than a logo, but don’t bet on it.
Meanwhile, Star Wars: Eclipse is still “simmering” (translation: politely napping), and Star Wars: Zero Company is still on the way, promising gritty Clone Wars tactics for whenever EA decides to remember it exists.
So yes: another maybe real announcement for a possibly alive Star Wars game is allegedly coming soon. The hype cycle endures.
