Apparently Resident Evil Requiem might have a second playable character, and shockingly, it’s not Leon “I’m contractually required to appear in everything” Kennedy.
According to a retailer leak, Capcom’s big surprise isn’t the fan-favorite heart-throb with perfect hair, but someone else entirely — because nothing says “bold new direction” like introducing a mystery protagonist nobody asked for while pretending Leon isn’t standing right there, ready to brood dramatically in HD.
Naturally, the leak comes from a store listing, the most trustworthy of all sources — the same place that once “confirmed” half a dozen nonexistent remasters and at least one imaginary Pokémon. Still, fans have leapt on it like it’s gospel, because after months of fake “Leon with an eyepatch” leaks, anything remotely plausible feels like premium content.
So now the fandom is collectively spiraling over who this second character might be, while Capcom sits in silence, probably enjoying the free marketing and watching everyone argue over breadcrumbs that may or may not even be real.
But hey — at least we know one thing for sure: if the leak is accurate, Leon’s fans are about to experience the five stages of grief in real time.
