Yacht Club delays Mina the Hollower

Ah yes, another “it’s so close to being done” delay — the gaming industry’s favorite phrase for “we just realized the game still looks like a haunted spreadsheet and half the team forgot to sleep since March.”

Yacht Club Games says Mina the Hollower only needs a little more time for “final polish,” which is what developers call it when QA finds 243 bugs and one of them literally deletes your save file if you blink too hard.

But hey, who can blame them? Shovel Knight was a gem, and we all want this one to shine too. Still, it’s funny how “so close” in game dev usually translates to another fiscal quarter or two. Somewhere in a studio Slack chat right now, someone’s typing “almost there 💪” for the 47th time this year.

At this rate, Mina the Hollower might come out just in time for Halloween — 2026 edition.
