Big-Release Week for Xbox

Ah yes — 30+ new Xbox releases in one week. Because nothing says quality gaming experience like dumping three dozen titles into the marketplace at once and hoping something sticks. I’m sure every single one of those games is a handcrafted masterpiece and definitely not just more “early access-looking indie #542,” or “generic shooter with unlockable helmets.”

And of course, Microsoft proudly declares this as “momentum.” Right. Because gamers everywhere are sitting there whispering, “Please, Phil Spencer, bury me in more backlog. I don’t suffer enough.”

Then there’s NASCAR 25, the annual reminder that somewhere out there is an audience excited to pay $70 for the privilege of turning left for three hours — now in slightly shinier 4K. And for the rest of us? Don’t worry — Game Pass has your back. Just keep paying that monthly fee and scroll through a digital landfill of “content” until you find the one game you might actually touch for 45 minutes.

But hey, at least marketing can now scream: “BIGGEST RELEASE WEEK OF THE YEAR!” Because 30 games is more impressive than 5 good ones, right?
